A small correction with a big effect: the rewind or correction button!
I'm sure you know this moment too: while you're still explaining your idea or presenting a piece of content, you realise: It's not going to work! You get lost in the details, don't really get to the point... There is a simple way out and a possible correction: the "rewind button".
If you feel like you're talking yourself into a corner, use this form of verbal thinking to stop yourself and reorganise. Rewind briefly in a figurative sense. Simply by confidently setting a new course linguistically: "So, that was a lot of information. The most important thing (to me) is ..." or "Let me emphasise the x most important points again". How confident is that if you simply allow yourself to offer it better again?
What positive experiences have you had yourself with this type of "Stop - Rewind - Go"? We all use this simple trick, but we suddenly forget it when it comes to an important business situation. What a pity! By rewinding something and rephrasing it the second time round, you give your counterpart the opportunity to absorb your statement even better with this "technique of repetition".
Maybe you'll give it a try? Oh no, let's cancel that: try it too and you'll see that it's a game changer when it comes to confident conversation.
